photo eli walking out_zpsv8kogwev.jpgHalloween MAINia is a fun, family-friendly event held in October in Downtown LaGrange. The 2018 date is Saturday, October 27th 11am-3pm.

Families are invited to dress up in their best Halloween costumes and get treats from several of the participating area businesses.  Look for the orange pumpkin signs in the store windows, walk inside and collect treats.  Visit the tents set up outside also.  The Oldham County Public Library sets up along Main Street and has fun games to play and book characters.  There are other fun activity booths set up outside, too.

There is a costume contest beginning at 1pm.  The event organizers encourage you to register for the contest early.  It's a lot of fun to see the different costumes.  Make sure you take time to either enter the contest or watch the contenders.  There is a costume contest for your pets, too!

If you're looking to extend your Halloween fun, downtown LaGrange also has ghost tours scheduled during October. The Spirits of LaGrange Ghost tours are recommended for children over the age of 12 and tickets can be purchased online.

Grab a cup of coffee at LaGrange Coffee Roasters and enjoy your time on Main Street.  Browse the merchandise and grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants.  Halloween MAINia is a great way to support Oldham County businesses and celebrate Halloween with your family and friends.
